Covid has affected all of us in so many ways. When I bemoan the fun travels and projects that were cancelled, I stop and remember that my daughter was a senior in high school in 2020. So many of the rights of passage were cancelled, including the prom. She was stuck at home when she should have been enjoying her senior year with all its perks.

We arranged to have a mini-prom. Four of us (her brother, stepdad, granddad and dad) all invited her to prom. She knew she had to be ready to go on Saturday afternoon, but that’s all she knew. We surprised her with a limo ride, photos and small outdoor party. It was so much fun!
